Bird & Carter, Fonthill Bishop
This was the first managed purchase we facilitated. More than quadrupling the covers available to the cafe and restaurant. We've gone through a few different iterations as both the business and our techniques have evolved. We turn the structure into its fully enclosed heated winter setup by lowering pole heights and fitting our unique wall and window system.
Brown Street, Salisbury
Pop Brixham and Vinegar Yard in London were the inspiration for this urban beer garden as part of a nightclubs redevelopment. We designed this from the ground up, installing containers, modular decking, lighting, scaffold features, planters and various possible stretch tent configurations. in the winter we can turn the open space into a fully enclosed heated space with our unique wall and window system.
Mathew Burt Studio, Hindon, Wiltshire
This Autumn showcase was a 'pop up' show room and shop extension for designer and maker Mathew Burt. We installed a 7.5x10.5m tent onto the side of the design studio, creating a linked space. A dead level floor was installed along with our unique wall and window system including sliding door and 'tack off' trim finish. We heated the space with infra red for over night frost prevention, an indirect diesel heater and a wood burning stove.
Shakespeares Globe on Tour, Bournemouth
When the touring production came to perform on the top floor of a multi storey car park in central Bournemouth we came up with this amphitheatre set up. Once access logistics where sorted we had to work with the buildings concrete and steel structure to find fixing points that we could remove and repair after the event.
Shoot Lodge, Fonthill Estate
For 4 months in the summer this safari'esque tent is the hub for simulated clay shooting days. Food and drink is prepared using local produce by the on site chef over an open fire. The site lies on a considerable slope, which we build up using our in house wooden cassette floor system. Our unique sidewall system protects from any weather whilst keeping all views perfectly framed.
Walled Garden Wedding, Somerset
This was one of the first jobs we ever booked. Covid had other ideas and it was delayed by 2 years. Walled gardens are always fantastic places to work, the walls are already adorned with foliage and flowers. We used our 3 most common sized canvases here to fit around the tree, you can see how the end on side aspect really comes into its own. The ground dropped away at one end where we built a raised dance floor deck being very sympathetic to the listed surroundings.
Planted Country, National Trust Stourhead
This is the rural version of Planted Cities. A design show and fair with an emphasis on sustainability. The organisers came from a world of corporate exhibitions where waste is rife and sustainability is hardly considered. We work on other projects with the National Trust at Stourhead and across the country.
Picnic on the Piste, Bournemouth
This is just one of several projects we work on within Bournemouth Gardens for their annual Xmas Tree Wonderland. Now in its 4th year we have continually evolved and grown the site to incorporate pop up bar units, 4 tented structures, 3 bespoke timber structures as well as a themed 'archway' we have repeated all over the site. We provide all the lighting and infrastructure. Our unique sidewall system frequently keeps the wind out and the heat in.
The Pembroke Arms, Wilton, Wiltshire
This pub on the Wilton estate run by The Chickpea Group dared to be at the forefront of Covid era hospitality. The initial tent installation grew considerably, with a shipping container fireplace, sidewalls and a whole other summer garden set up. We have now worked on 5 of the groups pubs and continually work in partnership with them.
The Old Church, Stoke Newington, London
This was a two year project to provide an outdoor arts space for 'The Old Church" community arts centre. It was tendered out as a design competition across the events and architecture industry and we won. The site was incredibly sensitive being one of Londons oldest surviving churches and many planning stipulations were in place. We challenged what was technically possible and came up with a completely unique structure.
FROST Bar, Salisbury
FROST Salisbury launched as a festive pop up in 2019 and we've designed and built all the infrastructure for it since 2020. We've done both tipis and stretch tents linked to one of our container bar and cellar combos. We've even converted a shipping container into a seating booth with a real fire place.
City Garden pop up, Salisbury
In the heart of the city for 6 weeks each summer since 2020 we have built this pop up bar, food and activity destination. We've done stretch tents and pagodas paired with our container bar, sponsor branded VIP decks, crazy golf and croquet with water features and themed obstacles.
